Fogged off at Fly Flatts.

The 5 mystery ducks in the fog were Teal .

0700 -0900 hrs Fog throughout on a moderate NW>5
A disappointing morning at Fly Flatts with dense fog to start with giving me just enough visibility to check the near shorelines and then by 0830 hrs it got more frustrating with the fog partially clearing over the water only to be blanked out with another bank of fog following through.
With about 3 minutes between fog banks to check the water I failed to find yesterdays Common Scoter but got 5 ducks out in the centre in the gloom which quickly disappeared more to the east side of the water not to be relocated. Looking at the doom and gloom photos they were Teal.
The dizzy female Tufted that was parading her 6 chicks up and down past a row of 9 Lesser Black Backed gulls yesterday is now down to 4 which was to be expected.
Boat race day today so unlikely to pick up any more moving Scoters but anythings possible.
