A late afternoon visit to Cold Edge Dams in a soaring 26 deg heat and little breeze. Too hot for the team today so had to go alone.
Leadbeater Dam provided all the goodies with good breeding records for Tufted and Little Grebe. 2 pair of Tufted had 8 young each whilst a pair of Little Grebe had at least 2 young. This is the first time I,ve had Little Grebe on Leadbeater as they usually stick to Spring Dam or Spring Mill Dam.
Two pair of Mallard, 2 BH gull and a pair of Common Sandpiper were also present with speed boats on Haigh Cote Dam. The photos I took are for some reason still in the camera with Picassa playing up and has eaten all my photos from previous files. This one could take some sorting.
The Raggalds field held several LBB gulls as well as Common but no Herring.
Amendment. Got tonights photos off. All I have to do now is find everything else.
