At last its get on the waterproofs. Fly Flatts.

Female Tufted still present with 6 young.

7 LBB gulls and several BHGs.

A flying visit to Fly Flatts this p.m. due to yet another dog grooming day but it was good to have to don on the waterproofs with a 100% cloud cover on a W>3 and light rain throughout.
Only time to check half way along the west bank today and the boatyard area but things very much the same as yesterday with the female Tufted and 6 young still present despite 7 threatening LBB gulls and 2 Carrion Crows. Post breeding Meadow Pipit numbers are increasing with birds everywhere now that the young are up and flying.
Two Kestrels were hanging around the west bank whilst a single Curlew flew >E over Cold Edge Road. The only waders present were the single adult Common Sandpiper along with 5 Lapwing.
A Wheatear check at Withins Gap and Nolstar only produced several Rooks which is a bit of a rare species for up there.
Hope somebody turns something up good this weekend.
