2 juv Dunlin
Scope-able YL Herring, north end in heat shimmer. Out of range.
Just time for a Fly Flatts flying visit early afternoon which is not the best time to visit this site but needed to get there to stop withdrawal symptoms setting in.
DJS had earlier reported the 2 Dunlin and 3 Ringed Plover which I soon picked up but very distant now that the water is so low making the shoreline well in the distance. All 5 waders were juveniles.
The dreaded Peregrine was still using the north shore keeping it clear of birds so the gulls had to use the NE corner with 12 ad LBB, 2 Common, 1 2cy Herring and an adult,or near, Yellow Legged Herring gull but all at scope-able range.
All the Wheatear that had been long staying on the shore from my last visit , had gone with no passerines ,other than a few Mipits, present.
Good to get some waders and the Yellow Legged but most of all good to get back to the peace and tranquility of Fly Flatts. Hopefully I,ll be able to get back to visiting but probably odd, and not the best times of day, but it could be another 4 weeks before Lynda is back firing on 4 cylinders.
All this washing, cleaning and cooking is ruining my mechanics hands.
