Fly Flatts, The lull continues.

Another cool and windy early p.m. visit to Fly Flatts with the wind still moderate NW>4, as yesterday, with full cloud at 13 degrees.
The juv Dunlin is into its 4th day now and still feeding in exactly the same spot as recent days even though the waves were lashing the shore, its amazing how hardy these little waders are.
Around 100 big gulls were near the NW corner, around 50% being adult LBBs and the other 50% being 1cy birds apart from a single adult Herring which was probably the same Yellow Legged as yesterday along with the outstanding 1 cy gull which I reported on the blog on the 11th of this month as being a probable Caspian but inadequate photos to say 100% and unfortunately the gulls remained out on the rough water today due to the 2 nuisance Peregrine again on the north shore.
A single Wheatear, Stonechat and Raven concluded the sightings apart from several Swallow >SE.

Photos from the  11th,  unconfirmed Caspian. 1 cy
