Gulls versus Drones, Fly Flatts, (permit only)

Single juv Dunlin still present for 3rd day

NW corner, if this doesnt attract waders nothing will.
                                                Estuary conditions
It dont get better than this.
                                                          North shore

A bright early afternoon with very little cloud but an icy cold NW>4 at 11 degrees.
The single Dunlin was still present for the third day running and in exactly the same place but no other waders despite the excellent extent of muddy shore showing,  though I was told by KM that the story is the same over the Nab at Oxenhope.
Around 150 big gulls on the North shore, all the adults being LBBs apart from a single adult Yellow Legged Herring. The mass of 1cy and 2cy were a mix of Herring and LBB but again, strangely no Black Headed or Common.
I started to walk the west bank to get into camera range but 3 nuggets with drones to the north of the water seemed to enjoy flying them low over the gulls , constantly flushing them onto the water before they eventually flew >NE. Unfortunately my ground to air missile launcher was back in the car.
All quiet otherwise other than 2 Wheatear and swarms of Goldfinch.
