Torrential rain at Fly Flatts.

An early afternoon visit to Fly Flatts found some torrential rain showers in among sunny periods on a light NNW>3 at 15 degrees.
A very quiet watch compared to yesterday and all birds very distant towards the NW corner, so with no time to walk the west bank it was all down to scope work and out of camera range.
A single adult Ringed Plover and 2 Dunlin were new in along with 14 LBB and 5 juv Herring gull on the muddy shore whilst 8 Black Headed were on the water as well as yesterdays female juv Tufted and 8 Canadas.
A poor show of  small passerines today with just 2 Stonechat and 2 Northern Wheatear although Meadow Pipit numbers are increasing ready for a blast off.
Just got home in time before monsoon type rain came along with a thunderstorm just about flooding the front and rear garden.
