Another foggy morning up on the tops so another visit to Leeshaw early morn in clear skies below the cloud base with light drizzle on a E>1 at 12 degrees.
A second busy counting morning with no time for the camera , although there was nothing really worthy of a photo with everything being at distance and on the move.
A clear out of Meadow Pipits today with all yesterdays bloggers gone whilst a few were heading >SW along with the first moving Linnets.
Swallows were in decent numbers but House Martins were down on yesterday. A group of 3 Alba Wagtails were on their way >W along with Mistle Thrush.
Again, a poor gull count on the shore and not a wader in sight other than the usual Lapwings.
One hour at Doe Park failed to produce the Osprey which I personally think it will have moved along with the bank of high pressure which is now moving eastward and out of our region but time will tell. A steady flow of Herring and LBB gull moved >SE overhead whilst a Kestrel and Sparrowhawk were in the air and a Buzzard sat in a dead tree in the valley to the >N.
Good to bump into the Rodley birding gang come to twitch the Osprey but went away disappointed, unless it appeared after I left.
