  •

Yellow Legged Herring gull present p.m.
                1 of 7 Willow Warblers

                        Cormorant over >NW
Blue skies and sunshine were the downfall of today though a NE>3 freshened it up with the temp at
18 degrees rising to 23 degrees by late p.m.
Wheatears were the highlight of the day with a count of 21 adults in autumn plumage this morning ground hopping their way south below the west bank. By late afternoon they were gone apart from a single juv near the ponds.
Swallows and Meadow Pipits were moving in small numbers
whilst a single Cormorant >NW was interesting for this site.
The small tree in the boat compound held at least 7 Willow Warblers, these were also gone in the afternoon.
Another wader less day with just LBBs on the north bank joined in the afternoon by the Yellow Legged Herring gull which I got in the scope preening but by the time I,d got part way on the west bank and nearly in range it settled down and was out for the count the rest of the watch.
A bit of rain and stronger NE wind forecast for tomorrow which should get the job back on track.
