A foggy start to the morning clearing to mist with visibility limited to across the water. The wind was blowing NE>4 at 15 degrees with light drizzle. By late afternoon the wind had turned E>4 with 4/8 cloud cover and sun at 20 degrees, the 2 worst weather conditions in 1 day.
The only way to check the shorelines today in the poor visibility
was to walk the south, west and east banking but all to no avail. Wheatears were still moving through whilst a few LBBs were on the north shore but no Yellow Legged Herring today.
Just 2 Willow Warblers present today in the lagoon tree and several blogging Mipits.
Near the end of the morning watch ,as the sky cleared, a bit of a move was taking place with the first signs of Linnets in migration mode along with a few Meadow Pipits, Alba Wagtails and Herring gulls.
Whether these birds had been waiting for the sky to clear or the birds had been moving through the fog I dont know.
As expected, the late afternoon watch was a dog walk, full stop.
