Another bright sunny day with 40% cloud cover with a moderate W>5 increasing strong W>6 by the afternoon watch.
Another day of wader madness , especially this morning with a total count of 43 Dunlin along with 13 Ringed Plover besides the usual Common Sandpipers and Redshank. No unusual waders that I could find though the afternoon watch was very difficult with the strong wind wafting the scope and camera around.
Brilliant to see the 13 Ringed Plovers flying low over the water as well as the Dunlin though viewing was mostly very distant with strong reflections off the wet mud and heat distortion. With these conditions and the theory of birds attracting birds its only got to be a matter of time before another new species drops in.
