Wind, rain, sleet and snow, just another day at Fly Flatts.

A rough day at Fly Flatts
The floating jetty was snaking heavily.

                                          White horses

                                     Looking north to the peninsular.
                                  SE corner getting shoreline

The team who dont look happy with the conditions.

1445 hrs and back to Fly Flatts for a second attempt there with the wind dropped slightly to W>5 but once again the watch spoilt with heavy showers, some torrential and some with sleet and snow.
A pair of Reed Buntings, a few Curlew , 1 LBB gull and 2 Carrion Crows and that was it apart from the Canadas with an early finish as the next batch of sleet and snow piled in from the west cutting out visibility.
Back to strong south westerlies tomorrow, hopefully its getting rid of all the nasty stuff before mid March when things kick off.
