Fly Flatts/Cold Edge Dams/Ogden.

Sun and blue skies as I got out of bed this morning but by the time I was ready for off the mist was slowly appearing on the tops. As I arrived at Slade the fog was dense and the road was sheet ice so a quick about turn down to Cold Edge.
Visibility was passable here so a check of the goose field with Leadbeater Dam next on the list . No Barnacles in the field and only a dozen Canadas along with 2 Greylag, 1 Redshank, 2 Oystercatchers and 3 Curlew. Just getting ready to get some photos of the newly returned Redshank when down came the fog blanking visibility before I could take any pictures or check Leadbeader Dam.
Back in the car after walking the dogs to the top of the track and back then on towards Ogden which was also in the fog so back home by 0900 hrs and a wait for this afternoons visit to Fly Flatts hopefully to turn up another Kittiwake.
