Fly Flatts p.m.visit.

Several LBB gulls in the area. These were over on the east bank.
The over wintering Short Eared Owl made an appearance.

                                          LBBs in the top field

Fly Flatts late afternoon was pretty eventless even though the wind had calmed down considerably with light drizzle.
11 Lesser Black Backed gulls were present on the banking and in the top fields which is unusual until the Lapwings and geese start laying eggs. Several Lapwings were present along with 8 Golden Plover across on Fill Belly Flat whilst 4 Meadow Pipits, 2 Skylark and a pair of Mallard were after the Nyjer seed.
A Short Eared Owl kept me entertained as it quartered the area moving south to north.
