Winter/Spring x over

Back at last years designer box

                                   Spring miniature Daffodils.

A bright day but still the strong SW>5 though dropped slightly since yesterday.
Nothing in the skies today and even the local Tawny Owls were well hidden keeping deep in the tree out of the wind.
Blue Tits behind the garage are busy all day now in and out of the box that they used last year and a report from Clayton of a Mistle Thrush sitting eggs where it produced 3 broods last year with 3 young taken by a cat.
Still holding on to winter customer Peter Turner text me this tea time with at least a dozen Waxwings in a tree opposite his house at Cooper Lane Shelf, possible photo to follow. Thanks for that Peter.

Its just 12 months to the day that Tracy discovered a fall of Wheatear in the trailer park field but a trip there this evening found nothing. Half a dozen Meadow Pipits and 2 Pied Wagtails were present but no repeat performance of Tracys find.
It was possibly a one off with the birds being brought down with the weather or it may turn out to be a favourite stopping off place on their way through so we,ll keep looking this month.
