Mipits on the move

Up to 32 House Sparrows in the garden

A bright and sunny day with a slow thaw but the cold eye watering wind back up to E>4 on the tops.
A steady flow of Meadow Pipits till mid morning all >N with several in the trailer park field this evening when  I went to check for Wheatear without success. I think these birds must be waiting till the weekend when the wind is suppose to turn around to the west although to be fair it was 15th April last year when Tracy discovered the fall there.
32 House Sparrows were on the front garden feeders midday along with 4 Blackbirds squabbling for the apples and 4 Chaffinch were by Foxhill Park, a rare bird for this area.
