Foggy Oggy.

Ogden, as good as it got

                                    Treecreeper through the fog.

Dense freezing fog and drizzle on the tops this morning making it very bad underfoot. Ogden was slightly better with visibility a third of the way across the water and very calm on a light SE>2 at
0 degrees. Heavy rain by 0930 hrs.
As dark as night along the west bank but fairly lively with Gt , Blue and Coal Tits as well as 2 Treecreeper, a single Nuthatch and the usual Robin, Wren and Blackbird. A noisy Raven flew overhead, heard but unseen up in the fog.
The highlight of the morning was, as I was walking on the west bank I got the familiar sound of whistling wings as a female Goldeneye came in to land, splashing down on the water. By the time I got to a better opening in the trees it had gone into the middle of the water and lost in the fog, not to be seen again. Could only make out 3 Black Headed gulls on the water.
Looking like the same weather scenario for tomorrow with rain, snow and tons of the usual fog still on a SE light wind.
