More watching and waiting, Leeshaw.

                                    Alive with Goldfinch

Flock of around 30 Reed Bunting
                                    Plenty Linnets

A windy but pleasant morning at Leeshaw with a moderate SW>4 gusting 5 at 14 degrees with 80% cloud and some sun with light showers. By mid watch the skies cleared and the wind eased.
Still waiting for something to appear on or around the reservoir, or overhead, with this morning spent checking through the many Goldfinch, Linnets and Meadow Pipits, with a flock of around 30 Reed Bunting along with 2 Willow Warblers and a single Whitethroat.
A single Curlew headed high and >W, along with a steady flow of LBBs following the north ridge, also >W whilst 4 LBBs and 10 Black Headed were on the shore.
Goosanders were up to 4 this morning but keeping to the west bank and near out of sight, and, apart from the usual species, that was as good as it got.
A dry day tomorrow but a near gale force westerly peaking at 20 mph, with gusts of 36 mph.
