A quiet Leeshaw ,then back to gulling.

Dog and Gun fields                    6 Herring few LBB

10yds Lane                    Med gull still present.

Around 50 gulls in a second field, 10 yds Lane.

Sunshine and showers at Leeshaw this morning with a very light >ESE at 16 degrees, poor reservoir weather.
The area was buzzing with Meadow Pipit, Goldfinch, Swallow and House Martin along with a single Sand Martin, this being due to very little breeze bringing the midges out in force.
Otherwise, very poor with just the usual 2 female Goosander and 2 Heron along with the geese and Mallards. Gulls were near non existent with just 12 Black Headed and 2 LBB on the shore, though the farmer was muck spreading a distant field which was drawing gulls away from my area.
By 0915hrs boredom was setting in so up stumps and off gulling. The Dog and Gun field held 6 Herring and 14 LBB but nothing of note among them so back to the Thornton fields where the juv Mediterranean gull was still present among 6 Black Headed and a juv LBB.
A nearby field held around 50+ gulls with Herring, LBB and Black Headed but a scope through failed to produce any Yellow Legged or the adult Med that MP had last week. Also no Common gull present as yet.
A similar weather system tomorrow with a light WSW and a touch cooler.
