Another decent weather morning with full cloud on a light NW>2 at 10 degrees with rain and drizzle showers.
A completely different morning with no sign of moving small passerines other that half a dozen Mipits and 4 Pied Wagtail otherwise the whole of the area had gone stagnant.
Gulls were the main feature with a steady flow of LBBs and Herrings all >W and the majority very high with just a few LBBs dropping in briefly whilst 14 Black Headed were on the shore.
Only a single Oystercatcher and Curlew showing but still plenty Lapwing around, mostly now moved to the distant moor.
The water was empty other than a few Canadas and Mallards with a new arrived drake Teal in the distant NW corner so only viewable through the scope.
Plenty of the 3 hirundine species but only 1 Swift sighted as they are now being noticeable by their absence.
Nothing gull-wise in the Dog and Gun field on route and no Barn Owls showing in the usual areas. A bit of a dull morning but always a pleasure to be out on the tops.
Looking like a bit of sunshine tomorrow on a very light SW turning SE with good visibility. May be a good time for me to check the water level at Fly Flatts.
