Sunshine at Fly Flatts

                                Several Curlew with young

                                    7 Common Sandpiper

                                        Mipits galore
                                    Grey Wagtail feeding young

                                    1 of 3 Ringed Plover.

Bright blue clear skies and sunshine at Fly Flatts this morning with a light W>3 at 10 degrees and excellent visibility.
A stonking morning to be up on the moor but not the best conditions for birds with very little in the sky other than a few Swallows and Swifts and only 6 LBB gulls today after the amazing 200+ a couple of days ago.
Curlew and Common Sandpiper are showing signs of having young now, creating as I walk along the banking, whilst hundreds of young Starling are around the fields.
A single Snipe was the only new wader showing and a couple of Buzzards, along with a Kestrel, were well to the west of me. Again, just the one elusive male Wheatear.
A cloudy morning tomorrow on a moderate WNW but clear visibility.
