Below the cloud base, Ogden.

Good start to the morning, 2f 1m Bullfinch

                                    Single 1 CY Herring gull
1 of a pair Teal out in the murk
                                    Several Redpoll

                                as well as Siskin.

                                    Plenty Long Tailed Tits.

Thick fog on the tops this morning so a visit to Ogden hoping it would be quiet due to the low cloud and drizzle on a calm W>2 at 4 degrees.
At 0800 hrs there were only 2 cars in the car park and luckily it remained quiet until I was leaving at 1015 hrs. Two more birders wandering round with firstly DJs closely followed by JL.
Once again, poor on gulls with just a handful of Black Headed and Common along with 1 1 CY Herring. A dead Black Headed near the duck corner looked like avian flu is in the area with 2 Crows pecking at it which doesnt help matters.
Just a distant pair of Teal on the water whilst 2 Raven went overhead and a single Curlew headed >W.
Small passerines were lively with 2 female and a single male Bullfinch in the car park trees whilst the west bank held several Siskin and Redpoll high up in the dark Alders as well as the usual Tit species, Treecreeper and Goldcrest.
Tomorrow looks like it could be a no go with severe gales throughout the morning forecast.
