A reet poor do, Fly Flatts

A dark cloudy morning at Fly Flatts with drizzle showers throughout on a W>4 at 4 degrees. Skies were clearing with some sunshine by the end of the watch.
A very poor morning with nothing moving in the sky other than 2 Ravens, 2 Crows and a Kestrel whilst just Canada geese and Mallards were on the water. The usual 4 Reed Buntings were in the compound and that was it.
On the way up there around 150 small gulls were in the field opposite the Crossroads Inn football pitch which I planned to check on my way back. Unfortunately there was a match on so not a gull in sight.
Oh well, tomorrows another day and we,re creeping nearer to busier times, says he hopefully.
