Terrible reservoir conditions today at Fly Flatts and more of the same threatened for tomorrow.
A light W>2 with clear skies and full sun with the temp up to 14 degrees by 0715 hrs.
The few waders present were again quietly feeding or resting on the waters edge with very little activity. A few gulls present with 4 Black Headed on the water and 6 LBBs over >NE whilst a single female Tufted duck was on the water.
Other than birds there was plenty activity today with police cars on the west bank as I arrived and police searching the moor below the west ridge. Later in the morning, when they seemed to have found what they were looking for, more police arrived as well as the mountain rescue unit. At least it was something to watch during the lack of birds.
