Steady away at Fly Flatts,(permit only)

 

                                      5 Ringed Plovers present today
                                             causing plenty friction.

                                      The long staying male seeing the others off.



                                         1st Black Headed gull juvs appearing.

A cool start to the morning but warming up as the sun appeared from behind the clouds with a light W>2 at 12 degrees and good visibility.
                      The steady start of the movement continues with the arrival of 2 more Ringed Plover causing a lot of unrest with the long staying pair with the original male trying to clear the shoreline.
The adult Dunlins and Common Sandpipers had moved on leaving the single juv  Dunlin, 1 Redshank and 5 Ringed Plover, all adults.
                       The first of the juv BH gulls were on the shore with 2 present as well as 3 juv Wheatear whilst a single female Tufted duck and 2 LBB gulls were on the water.
                      Only sky movement was around 50 Swifts >S plus a few Swallows in no specific direction.
Ospreys are starting to move with 1 over Ripon yesterday,( Trektellen)
