Fly Flatts,(permit only), TMR, (B.O.G. members only.)

FLY FLATTS                       Herring gulls on Fly Flatts.

A few Golden Plover at last.

TMR                                                1 of 2 Redshank

                                             2 Oystercatchers  present
Several LBB gull as well as Herring.

A decent morning weather wise at Fly Flatts with a light but cold E>3 at 1 degree with broken cloud and sunshine.
Just 3 Redshank showing this morning and back to the original pair of Ringed Plover whilst the long awaited Golden Plovers arrived in the top field but only a small count of 12 present. Unusual to have Herring gulls on the water with 7 early morn before the sailors started putting the buoys on the water ready for the start of the sailing season tomorrow. At least the passing Terns will have somewhere to land now!!
TMR mid afternoon had a stiff breeze from the south with some snow showers.
Not a great deal of water fowl with 2 female Goosander, 1 female Goldeneye and a pair of Teal plus the usual Mallards and Canadas. Redshank and Oystercatchers were the only waders whilst a change around with LBB gulls outnumbering Herring by 78 to 25 and again no small gulls.
Plenty of  Lapwings, Curlews and Meadow Pipits plus the usual species.
A near miss with a report of a female Common Scoter on Doe Park, just to the east of TMR,( M.P.)
