FLY FLATTS Just 3 Wheatear present today
TMR Swallow passing high at speed.
around 800 big gulls present.
about 50/50 Herring and LBB.
some for MC to look through
LBB
Herring
A better morning weather wise but high pressure restricting the birds. Only a light SW>3 with full cloud cover at 8 degrees.
Just the usual waders with 2 Ringed Plover, 2 Oystercatcher and a single Redshank whilst a pair of Wheatear were over on the Robin rocks and a male in the top field.
Greylags had increased with 8 on the water along with 2 adult LBB gulls, otherwise just the usual species.
Back up to TMR mid afternoon to find around 800 mixed LBBs and Herrings with about 50% of each, mostly on the water making viewing difficult with the sun glare but plenty photos to check through later, whilst several were on the south wall making those birds easy to scope.
No sign of the Dunlin today with just 4 Redshank and 2 Oystercatchers whilst Tufted duck were up to 3 pairs. A single Swallow headed >N at speed but not Wheatears or Ouzels at this site as yet.
