Beating the fog. Ogden/ Bank Top C.P./ Wibsey Park.

BANK TOP C.P.                    No shortage of LBB gulls here

                                              Lower number of Herring gull

                                          Herrings were mostly 2nd cy.
WIBSEY PARK                 A good count of Tufted.
This white Greylag is probably the Fly Flatts bird.

Once again, just the 1 BH gull 2 cy

As expected today, the light E>3 brought in thick fog to the tops with light rain at 6 degrees.
Ogden a.m. was very dark, misty and wet but enough visibility to see across the water.
Passerines were active with ,once again, Chiffchaffs seeming to be in every tree plus a single Willow Warbler new in and very mobile. A pair of Bullfinch were in the car park trees and a Gt Spotted Woodpecker flew low over the cars. Several more Peckers were heard drumming the trees along with a noisy Green Woodpecker.
I managed to drop onto the tit flock today with more Coal and Long Tailed Tits than Blue and Great but no Goldcrest or Treecreepers with them.
Just the 2 Gt Crested Grebe on the water along with 3 Canadas and the usual Mallards whilst a single Herring gull flew over >NE. Not a morning for the camera today with lack of light making it impossible to get a half decent shot in the trees.
Lots of shoreline around the reservoir and although Ogden is not renown for waders it looks ideal for Common and Green Sandpiper.
Mid afternoon and still thick fog on the tops so down to a very wet  and misty Bank Top C.P. with a nice show of LBB and Herring gulls along with Goosander, Tufted and the usual Coot, Moorhen, Geese and Swans etc.
On then to Wibsey Park which was dryer and clear but still very dark.
Only a single Black Headed gull present but several Herrings over >E whilst a good count of Tufted was on the water along with Mute Swans and all the usual duck pond stuff.
Another 2 Willow Warblers were present here along with around 5 Chiffchaff. No sign of the Shoveler which must have moved on.
