The Jinx of Redcar Tarn strikes again.

FLY FLATTS                        Looking down to Dean Head from the west bank
                                           Early sun appearing
A rare fly over for this site, Cormorant.

Redcar Tarn                      Nothing untoward but some nice Herrings to look at.

                                               Usual   Norwegian BH gull present.
Green ringed BH gull to look into
Possibly one DP saw a few days ago.

Another beautiful day with blue skies and wall to wall sunshine at 1 degree on a very icy morning.
A cut short blog tonight as just got in, will explain in a minute.
Fly Flatts  Just a few fly over gulls and the unusual sight of a Cormorant >NE.

Redcar Tarn   Not many Herrings and no Caspian but as usual, always plenty to see.

The Jinx of Redcar Tarn.   Left the tarn at 1500  hrs and arrived home at 1900 hrs after losing all power and the car coughing out opposite the Flappit. No problem, ring the RAC, who said we will be with you within the hour. One and a half hour later and now sat in pitch black I rang again, which was,nt easy and was told it would be 1800 hrs.  Chugged the car on 2 cylinders as far as Denholme and waited until 1815 hrs then got another promise that it would be 1930 hrs. After a lot of shouting she said I will see what I can do and ring you back.
After this I chugged the car a mile at a time stopping and starting and finally got it back at 1900 hrs after waiting for the RAC three and a half hours and still no call back.
I,ve run all sorts of bangers in my time and never broken down until I got this car new. To be fair its broken down twice in 5 years, once under guarantee . The first time was at Redcar Tarn and this time was on the way back from Redcar Tarn, must be something to do with all the gull poo in the air !!!
The moral of this story is  DONT JOIN THE RAC !!!!!!!
