Fly Flatts, double visit.

                                         Fly Flatts, last light.

West bank depth and weather station.
                                                             The Nab

A bright sunny morning at Fly Flatts with full sun and blue skies on a NW>3 at 10 degrees.
Though not killed with birds today it was nice to get back to the peace and tranquility of the moorland after fog has kept me away for the last few days.
A single female Goosander was unusual for this site, out on the water ,before heading off  >NE. A count of 42 Mallard were on the water after arriving from Dean Head reservoir down in the valley. Just 1 Stonechat present today along with a female Pied Wagtail in the compound whilst the only gulls present were 4 Black Headed.
In the afternoon visit 28 Redwing headed >NW and a Kestrel was on a boat mast before off hunting over the top fields.
