Fieldfare/Redwing and Redpolls

                                                  Plot Neight sunrise
                                                over t'mill
 LEESHAW                                             Fieldfares on the move

                                                        Redwing

OGDEN                                     around 30 Redpoll
bad images taken in the dark woods
                                               several Goldcrest

BH gull hanging on to its summer hood.

What was forecast as a full sunny day turned out to be anything but with about 1 hours sun after sunrise then turning to full cloud with mist and fog patches rolling over, along with drizzle on a W>3  at 4 degrees.
A big blast off of Fieldfare and Redwing this morning coming out of distant Hawthorns where they had roosted overnight. Several more were coming into the area and dropping down for the Hawthorn berries. Starlings were still moving >NW in good numbers.
Around 300 gulls present but well distant towards the NW corner.
Ogden mid afternoon was buzzing once I came across the tit flock of around 50 birds.
Up to 30 Redpoll were present but only a single Siskin that I could find along with Treecreepers, Goldcrests and all 4 common Tit species.
Around 80 gulls on the water but nothing unusual.
Its like Beirut out here tonight, its to be hoped there  are no skeins of  Pinkies over, they,ll be shot down. I have 3 shaking dogs here fighting to sit on my knee.
