Common Sandpiper still on guard duty.
Usual Ringed Plovers.
Still waters
Hot from the word go today with 21 degrees at 0800 hrs and hitting a record for Fly Flatts at 30 degrees late afternoon. Very still with a light E>1 and cloudless skies.
A wasted journey this morning with the west bank already disturbed plus dogs in the water on the south bank and SW shore. Amazing how many people dont understand the No Public Access sign as they climb over the gate and barrier.
Pointless following in peoples footsteps on the South and West bank so just a check of the water and east bank plus a bit of sky watching.
Late afternoon was very hot and still with Swallows moving >S in otherwise quiet skies. A good show of Black Headed gulls on the water along with 7 LBBs whilst another unwanted guest was a juv Peregrine over the water.
Hopefully we,re on countdown now with the hot stuff.
