Fly Flatts, a morning moorland walk

A bright , clear and sunny morning at Fly Flatts with a very light E>2 at 5 degrees.
As expected, in the reservoir birding unfriendly weather, things were very quiet around the water other than 2 LBBs on the water as well as the usual geese. The only small waders were the usual 2 Ringed Plovers and a single Oystercatcher.
Just 2m and 1f Wheatear present whilst a single Swallow flew >N over the water. With boredom setting in I walked across the moor towards Tatty Pie Hill which was a pleasant walk but failed to produce much other than 3 Stonechat and several Mipits plus a Weasel in the conduit.
Back at the north end of the reservoir a distant Short Eared Owl was quartering the moor well to the north by Nab Water Lane.
The afternoon session was abandoned waiting for my sort of weather to return although tomorrow is threatening more sun and even less wind.
