Usual Ringed Plovers present
5 LBB gull on water
Single Common Sandpiper.
Alive with Meadow Pipits
unwelcome guest for ground feeders. Stoat
Yet another morning of clear blue skies and wall to wall sunshine on a very light NE>2 at 2 degrees.
Once again things were at a standstill in the stagnant weather conditions, surely there must be some wind and rain on its way soon.
Another, or the same, Common Sandpiper was present along with the long staying Ringed Plover pair, an Oystercatcher and 2 Redshank as well as 4 vocal Snipe in the top fields.
Both Partridge species were in the boat compound with 2 Greys and 2 Red Legged whilst 5 LBB gulls were on the water. No Goldies in the Nolstar field today though only checked this morning as abandonded the afternoon visit due to the poor weather conditions for reservoir watching. Swallows are now back in their breeding area on Balkram Edge Road.
