You can,t beat a bit of drizzle, Fly Flatts, (no public access)

Peering through the drizzle, female Common Scoter

Keeping out in the centre of the water
                                              2 juv Pied Wagtails

Another morning of heavy drizzle on a WSW>4 but a higher cloud base than the last few days at a temp of 16 degrees.Late afternoon had light drizzle but slightly brighter.
A good start off with 4 Black Headed gulls on the shoreline briefly before moving off >NE, a rare bird for Fly Flatts. Only 9 LBB gulls today on the shore and just a couple of fly overs whilst 3 juv Wheatear were on the far ponds at the SE corner along with 2 juv Pied Wagtails.
Near packing up time mid morning and a final scan of the water just in time to see a female Common Scoter drop in and settle in the middle of the water.
A second visit late afternoon found the Scoter still present whilst a number of Swallows moved through but only 2 Swift. The only wader present today was the usual Ringed Plover.
