                                Barnacle in with the Canadas

                                              Pied Wagtail
Water lashing up the east bank

A dry cool morning with good visibility on a NW>5 and full cloud cover at 10 degrees.
By late afternoon the sun had rose its ugly head taking the temp up to 18 degrees and spreading heat distortion along the shoreline. A sight not seen for over 12 months was white horses across the water and waves lashing the east bank.
More wader movement today with a single Redshank on the north shore before heading off >E whilst 6 Ringed Plover were present, 4 way over in the NW corner and a single male and juv in the SE ponds. More Curlews were leaving with 4 over high and >SE.
Raptors were out in force with 4 Kestrels up hovering and a distant Buzzard over the moor. Two visitors I didnt want to see was 2 Peregrines on the north shore , I was hoping they had moved on since last year when they flushed several waders.
Tried for distant photos of the 2 but too much heat distortion to get anything worth publishing.
