You,re probably sick of Ringed Plover pics but you have to
admit they are amazing birds and soon they will be gone.

Another drizzly morning with good visibility on a cool NW>5 at 8 degrees brightening late afternoon with the wind turned W>4 and dry.
Swifts were the bird of the day with a good southern passage which stopped around 1000 hrs. As expected, the Common Scoter had gone overnight with just 2 LBB gulls on the water as well as the usual Canadas and 2 Barnacles.
A quiet shoreline with the Curlews and Common Sandpipers now gone and all the activity was in the ponds with the 2 Ringed Plover still present along with 5 juv Wheatear which have just appeared from yesterday. Otherwise a steady day with me watching and waiting in anticipation.
Around 100 House Martin were over Newbank garden centre , West Vale early afternoon.
