The Easterlies bring in the fog.

WHAT, NO PICTURES.
As expected ,with easterlies forecast, I awoke this morning to dense fog up here in the gods which cleared late morning leaving an afternoon of low cloud on a light E>3 with the same forecast for tomorrow. At least the Corona virus bugs will never find us up here in the fog.
Late afternoon and a wander round Roper Lane, Raggalds Flood, Pit Lane and Low Lane was extremely quiet with poor watching skies due to haze and low cloud.
Roper Lane was frighteningly busy with cars steaming on at 70 and 80 mph and no footpath so it was a matter of scrambling along the hedges which isn,t easy with 3 dogs in tow. It was amazing the number of cars that were parked up with people walking and dog walking, they just wont listen, be it right or wrong.
The plantation Willow Warblers had moved on leaving just a couple of Chaffinch and a singing Robin.
Raggalds Flood was deserted other than 5 Magpies and a couple of Meadow Pipits whilst Pit Lane held 6 Lapwing and around 30 Starling. Just Lapwings in the reed field on Low Lane with no Snipe once again, these were possibly moved on by the breeding Lapwings, so, a last resort was some sky watching east from Foxhill School which produced a single Buzzard over Clayton heading >N along with 1 Swallow and 8 LBB gulls also >N.
CK also had a Buzzard over the southern end of Roper Lane, also slowly drifting >N.
So, the quietest day since lock down , and possibly another month or more to come but as long as we all keep well and active we must,nt grumble. Hope you all have a good Easter as best you can.
As they used to say in Queensbury, " Tha man get plenty eggs darn thi throat"
