After a spring like morning at EGP it was back to feeling like mid winter at Fly Flatts p.m. and although the temperature was 10 degrees the near gale SE>6 gusting 7 made it feel more like
2 degrees with some sun making poor visibility in a milky, hazy sky.
The only waders present were 6 Redshank whilst all the Mallards and Canadas were sheltering in the grass on the east bank leaving the water and sky empty.
Even the Golden Plovers had deserted the Nolstar fields with the wind blasting across them.
Cloudy and light easterlies tomorrow which could mean early fog again on the tops in the morning which usually happens as the temperature starts to rise.#
