A stroll around Ogden and Ring Ouzels for Soil Hill.

                             1 of 2 Moorhen, Ogden

Seemed like there was a Willow Warbler in every tree.

                                   Good numbers of Goldfinch

Thick fog on the tops this morning so a stroll round Ogden which was very misty but just below the cloud base.
No gulls present and just 1 of the 2 resident Moorhen out on the water along with a few Mallards and 12 Mallard chicks looking very vulnerable with the crows hanging round.
Willow Warblers were out in force which several singing along with a few Chiffchaff and the usual Tits, Robins, Wrens and Dunnocks.
Up to 4 drumming Gt Spotted Woodpeckers were heard and 1 seen briefly along with a noisy Green Woodpecker.
Good news as Daniel Branch strikes again when 5 minutes after I had been speaking to him from the car on my way home saying he was going on Soil Hill looking for Ring Ouzel he text me with a very mobile pair up there. They usually tend to hang around a few days up there so could be relocated.
