Down below the fog line, Ogden. a.m.

                                           2 drake Tufted
                                All taken with Canon 70-200mm 1.28 L

                                          several Willow Warblers
                                        Dunnocks in full song
Not a good sighting with Crows, gulls and Herons nearby.,

Dense fog on the tops this morning so headed down below the cloud base to Ogden where visibility was half way across the water slowly clearing but remaining dull and misty on a light E>3.
The water just held 2 male Tufted along with several drake Mallards and only 1 female with 11 young, the rest of the females busy sitting eggs.
A single Heron and several Crows had moved into the area on duckling watch with 2 Herring gulls overhead.
A Common Sandpiper flew across the water east to west landing on the banking but in a tree hidden area so not relocated. Otherwise it was down to at least 8 singing Willow Warblers, 4 Chiffchaffs and 1 Blackcap as well as the usual Robins Dunnocks, Wrens etc.
A surprise to see a Wheatear on the rocks as I was leaving the bottom car park.
Thunderstorms forecast for late afternoon which could be interesting if they develop.
