Fly Flatts is buzzing

Mystery bird, Dunlin or Curlew Sandpiper

                                       2 Sanderling

Centre bird possibly Dunlin but looked long legged
with plain brown plumage.
Terrible photos with massive heat shimmer
Will try again in the morning.

Will keep it short tonight as computer to sort not wanting to down load photos so picked these 6 out of 430 but all rubbish due to the dreaded heat shimmer with a temp of 23 deg.
My prediction yesterday of Green Sandpiper came true today and even down to the man I put money on finding one, or in this case two.
A great find this morning by DF of 2 Green Sandpipers at Fly Flatts and later 2 Sanderling plus the Greenshank from yesterday.
It was mid afternoon before I could get up there but after a lot of searching I found them all. The Green Sandpipers were showing very briefly as well as the Greenshank hidden  by a pool and out of sight from the west bank.
The probable Dunlin with the Sanderlings  has me wondering due to its strange plumage. The bill is right but it seemed long legged and plain under bellied and a plain orangy head. Not much experience with Curlew Sandpiper which is the only other bird that fits the frame. I,ll hope for better pics tomorrow if its there and before the heat blasts up.
Nice find Dave, my last Green Sand was 5 year to the day 4/8/13.
