As good as it got
Deserted of people and bird life
Three soggy doggies Ollie, Buddy, Rooney.
With thick fog and torrential rain the only option this morning was a check of Ogden, and me being ever the optimist thinking , what ideal weather for Terns !
With just one car in the car park, which is unknown even at this time in a morning, although the alleged dog poisoning in the area has put a lot of people off, away we went with rain coming down like stair rods and the whole area flooded under water.
The reservoir was absolutely deserted with not even a Mallard in sight and the only bird life noted from the promenade was a few singing Robins, a Chiffchaff calling and a Grey Wagtail working its way along the edges of the cobbles.
On to the end of the promenade checking the outlet and overflow for Dipper and Kingfisher then back to the car to once again dry out my birding gear ready for a teatime session.
I love Bank Holidays !!!
