A cold and quiet day

With an icy cold E>4 and dull skies throughout the day very little was on the move.
LBB gulls were heading NW early morning and my first 2 Queensbury Swifts went over Albert Rd at lunch time >NE.
Otherwise it was down to the usual resident stuff busy nesting or feeding young.
No news on the Station Rd Canada chicks today so must still be 2 present or I,m sure I,d have heard something.
Nice to meet Angela from the Angela and Gary local birding team at the garage today. Angela has just started her own blogsite on her love of home baking which I hope does well for her. Baking sadly seems to be a thing of the past now since the days when our parents had a special day each week set aside for baking. Some have carried it on from their mothers and Lynda enjoys baking buns etc, her speciality being home made rice pudding which doesnt help my mid drift.
I had the pleasure of sampling some of Angelas baking today which she brought to the garage and it was beautiful.
So if your tastebuds can stand the temptation visits Angelas blog, aptly named, Only Crumbs Remain, from the link on my blog. Thanks again Angela.
