Whinchat Hunt
End of another day over Foxhill.
An afterwork visit to Old Guy Rd looking for Denises Whinchat this evening proved fruitless.
Different tactics tonight so as to get the sun behind me I went in from the Roper Lane end ready for that brilliant Whinchat, full frame photo ! but the bird was nowhere to be found. Only 1 Wheatear remained and very few Hirundines were moving.
I was going to go through the field of Gorse where the bird seemed to favour but there was Highland cattle in there around the footpath tonight so after seeing the size of the horns I decided to scan it from the next field(wimp).
