Landed just long enough for a snap
A fly past at distance
Sparrowhawk steaming through.
A day of heavy rain throughout and thanks to NKs report of Short Eared Owl on Soil Hill this morning my theory was that if it cleared up by tea time the bird would be out hunting tonight.
After 1 hour trekking around Soil Hill and rapidly running out of decent light the SEO appeared from the direction of Ogden landing briefly before lifting off again and gliding down the valley in the direction of Oats Royd, never to be seen again but well worth the wait for a few minutes viewing and a few pics.
A Sparrowhawk came gliding past close to the ground and scattering a flock of linnets whilst several LBB gulls left TMR for the Eccup roost.
