Meadow Pipits everywhere
Soil Hill 1600-1700hrs Dark clouds rolling in from the north, light drizzle, WSW >5
Alive with passerines but all very fidgety and mobile though no sign of the Short Eared Owl.
A nice flock of around 20 Linnets were moving around the hill with about 10 Skylark and 11 Goldfinch but the hill was dominated with 50+ Meadow Pipits looking ready to make an early morning move.
Nothing moving in the skies other than a few small gulls with a few of the same in the bottom fields.
Unusual to see a male Tufted down on the NK pond diving regularly.
Was hoping for some good SEO shots but it wasnt around its usual area and not reported by NK this a.m. so possibly moved on.
Thanks to Diane for a report today of a Roe deer at an undisclosed site, south Queensbury.
