Under the fog at Leeshaw.

                                    Usual Oyks etc
                                    Few distant Herring gulls
Pink Footed Goose in with Canadas

Still a few Common gull around.

Another morning of hill fog with Leeshaw below the cloud base but under very dark clouds which brightened up mid watch with a light W>2 at 4 degrees.
A very stagnant morning at Leeshaw with plenty of the usual species but all reluctant to move for some unknown reason. Even the Oystercatchers remained on the grass banking with only individual birds doing a quick fly around.
The single PF goose was on the water, in with the Canadas, which was unusual as it has always been in among the Greylag flock.
Around 8 Curlew present as well as 5 Redshank but still no sign of shore to invite any passing waders
 in.
A few more gulls this morning with Herring, LBB, Common and Black Headed but all keeping to the western end of the water, as opposed to their usual spot on the valve tower and gantry.
A Kestrel made the mistake of flying over the Lapwing field and found itself escorted off the premises by around 30 angry Lapwing.
Unbelievably, a forecast for morning of light rain on a light ESE with very poor visibility, in short, another morning of fog.
