Hard work birding, Fly Flatts.

Plenty Common Sands keeping the job going.

The only newcomer today, drake Tufted.
                                Several Wheatear still present.

Reasonable weather this morning with full cloud, later clearing to blue skies and sunshine on a light W>3 inc 4 at 10 degrees.
A lull at the moment at Fly Flatts with everything stagnated both on the deck and in the sky.
The only newcomer was a single drake Tufted duck which just slept on the west bank throughout the morning.
Swallows were the only moving birds >N, along with 12 Herring gull, very high and >SE. Several Common Sandpiper still present with this species not seeming to mind the lack of shore as they are very adaptable to breed in the rocks, in the fields or even on the moor.
Just the usual single male Ringed Plover awaiting fatherhood and busy chasing everything in sight whilst 3 pair of Redshank stick to the north end.
The 2 Oystercatchers don,t seem interested in breeding as yet whilst several Wheatear are still moving through, this latest wave being mostly males.
A mixed bag for tomorrow with sunshine and showers on a moderate westerly.
