Gulls and Wheatears, Fly Flatts.

Good movement of LBB gulls >SE
Pair of Tufted on the lagoon

                                At least 14 Wheatear present.

                                1 of 3 Oystercatcher
                                Male Ringed Plover

A very wet and dark morning at Fly Flatts with full low black clouds and drizzle throughout on a light SW>3 at 8 degrees.
A good movement >SE of LBB gulls with a count of 82 in the first hour, drying up at
0845 hours. More Wheatear were moving through with at least 14 present, todays birds being mostly females.
Nothing new wader-wise with the usual Ringed Plover, Redshank, Oystercatcher and Common Sandpipers though the water is still receding slowly showing more shore but possible getting too late to hold many spring migrants. This time last year I had 14 Dunlin on the shore.
Swallows were again heading >N whilst a pair of Tufted duck were on the lagoon with 2 Red Legged Partridge close by.
Just 1 distant Whinchat remaining now along with a of pair of Stonechat up near the quarry.
